Over the weekend, the 17th edition of the Old Prague Ham tournament came to a close. The tournament featured 11 international teams, complemented by 4 teams from the Czech Republic. Huge respect goes to the players of all teams, who managed to push themselves to the absolute limit despite the scorching weather and even elevate their performance throughout the day.

The tournament showcased great rugby and an amazing atmosphere that the teams thoroughly enjoyed. The final placement rounds were truly outstanding, played with immense commitment and backed by the support of spectators from the ranks of the players who weren’t on the pitch at the time.

The final battles for podium finishes were incredibly close and thrilling. After a hard-fought battle, the Czech team, Czech Stars, secured third place following a narrow victory over France’s CEPS Beaujolais. In the final, previous tournament winners faced off: the Mako Sharks from the United Kingdom and RC Grivita from Romania. A single try in the dying moments of the match decided the winner, with the Mako Sharks taking home the trophy.
